Media Advisory: Community Change Action Economic and Political Experts Available for Interviews On the Ground at DNCC
(Chicago, IL) – Community Change Action, a leading national grassroots organization dedicated to empowering low-income communities and communities of color through grassroots organizing and voter engagement, will have experts on the ground in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention. Our economic and political experts will be available for interviews and commentary regarding economic issues impacting voters, our innovative approach to voter outreach, reaction to the convention speeches, as well as insights into the current political landscape.
Community Change Action’s voter outreach program has a proven track record of success in engaging communities of color and low-income voters across the country. Through targeted grassroots campaigns, we work tirelessly to ensure that these historically underrepresented voices are heard at the ballot box. Our Power 2024 initiative is focused on building long-term political power for our communities by holding 2 million conversations with new and infrequent voters in key battleground states.
Our economic and political experts on-the-ground are available to comment on issues including: the 2024 election, low-income voters and voters of color, democracy and voting rights, child care and the care economy, health equity, guaranteed income, racial justice, and more. They will include:
- Dorian Warren, Community Change Action Co-President, Co-Founder of the Economic Security Project, former MSNBC host and contributor, and taught for over a decade at the University of Chicago and Columbia University, where he was co-director of the Columbia University Program on Labor Law and Policy.
