Supreme Court Ruling Threatens Wellbeing of Millions
The Supreme Court affirmed Trump’s public charge rule, along ideological lines, in a 5-4 decision.

“The Supreme Court’s failure to protect the most vulnerable will have lasting consequences on women, children, and the elderly. The administration’s discriminatory public charge rule was designed to make it harder for people to obtain their green card, and will have a chilling effect on working families by severely restricting their ability to get the support they need to help their families survive.
Every Democratic candidate running for President must declare that they will rescind Trump’s public charge rule on day one of their administration. In this election, we will make sure our community knows who was willing to fight for us and who fought to uphold a white nationalist agenda.”
