We’re bringing together Michigan drag queens and community organizations to ensure strong voter turnout amongst Black, Latinx, women, LGBTQ+, and young voters

(Detroit, MI) – Community Change Action and Community Change Voters are hosting Drag Out the Vote, a voter engagement event at Menjo’s in Detroit on Sunday Nov. 3, 2024, to turn out voters for Vice President Kamala Harris and Michigan Supreme Court candidates Kyra Harris Bolden and Kimberly Ann Thomas.
The event will feature performances by Michigan-based drag queens, prizes and education for voters on issues that matter to them, like reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, inflation, Black entrepreneurship, and more.
Grassroots organizations Michigan United Action and Michigan Liberation Action Fund will lead attendees in a texting action to encourage their friends and family to vote.
